The Earth's Movement

Apparent Movement of the Sun:
- People observe the "rising" and "setting" of the sun, but these are illusions.
- It is the Earth's movement that causes this appearance; the sun itself does not rise or set.
Types of Earth's Motion:
1. Rotation:
  - The Earth rotates on its axis from west to east.
  - This rotation takes 24 hours, resulting in day and night.
2. Revolution:
  - The Earth revolves around the sun in an elliptical orbit.
  - This revolution takes 365 days, leading to the change in seasons and the completion of a year.
